Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox's parents include Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. She was able to survive on a student allowance and worked part-time in order to make ends meet. Lennox did not feel happy with the quality of her performance compared with other students at Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox played flute with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band before they appeared in I.T.V's Talent program New Faces. She was the lead singer in The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. In this band, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they created their own group, the Eurythmics pop duo. Following that Lennox began working on her solo first album Diva that came out in 1992. The album had a tremendous success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album debuted in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox selected her favorites blues and soul from the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in May 2019. This E.P.
