Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents include Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. She was able to survive on a student allowance and worked part-time in order to make ends meet. Lennox did not feel happy with the quality of her performance compared with other students at Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox played flute with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band before they appeared in I.T.V's Talent program New Faces.
